Only current?

[edit]

Should this include only current synagogues, or also former and demolished synagogues? For example, Seattle's Langston Hughes Art Center is the former Chevra Bikur Cholim synagogue. The Tolliver Temple (Church of God in Christ) is also obviously a former synagogue (1915 E Fir), though I don't know the nameSephardic Bikur Holim. There was also a former synagogue demolished less than a decade ago on 12th around Marion. I'm sure there are/were many others- Jmabel | Talk 06:22, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the former Herzl Synagogue is now Odessa Brown Clinic: Summary for 172 20th AVE / Parcel ID 9826701245, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. - Jmabel | Talk 08:04, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lacking response, and seeing that the bulk of this article was done by someone who has few other edits, I'm going to go ahead and add these. - Jmabel | Talk 00:09, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hillel

[edit]

Why is the Hillel at WSU listed, but not other Hillels (e.g. the much larger one at UW)? Is the Hillel at WSU in some sense a synagogue? If not it probably should not be listed here (as many other Jewish organizations in the state are not). - Jmabel | Talk 03:43, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Longview

[edit]

Does anyone know anything about Congregation Sons of Israel, Longview? According to WSJHS (2006), The Jewish Experience in Washington State p. 66 they were founded in 1942; there are no further details and, unusually for that source, they don't give a citation. - Jmabel | Talk 03:42, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
